Jeev Daya Sansthan (Bakrashala) — Live and Let Live
परस्परोपग्रहो जीवानाम् — Souls Support Each Other
Jeev Daya Sansthan (Bakrashala) is a Jain community-led animal welfare sanctuary in Aminagar Saray, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 2016 on the eternal teachings of Lord Mahavir, we believe every living being has the absolute right to live out its full, natural life.
Every year before Bakrid (Eid al-Adha), our volunteers travel to markets across Delhi and western U.P., purchasing goats destined for sacrifice — bringing them to our sanctuary where they receive lifelong care, love, and protection.

One of India's first dedicated goat sanctuaries — where every rescued goat lives its full natural life, cared for like family, and is never harmed or sold.

Daily doctor visits, PPR vaccinations, and round-the-clock medical care for birds. Our hospital serves all birds and creatures in need, year-round.

Our iconic 45-storey Pakshi Ghar is home to 8,000–15,000 birds at any time — one of the most extraordinary structures of its kind in all of India.

Beyond animals, we care for 50+ mentally challenged individuals lovingly called "Prabhu Ji" — providing shelter, meals, medicine, and activities with dignity and compassion.

In 2016, members of the Jain community in Aminagar Saray, Baghpat united with one conviction — that every living being has an equal right to life, as Lord Mahavir taught. What began as a small effort to save goats during Bakrid has grown into one of India's most extraordinary animal sanctuaries.
Inspired by Jain monk Rajshree Rajendra Muni's teachings, the founders built the Bakrashala on 5,000 square yards of land. Today it shelters 550+ goats, 8,000+ birds, and operates a full animal hospital — all sustained by donations from across India.
"यहाँ आने वाला हर जीव, अपनी पूरी उम्र जीकर, अपनी मृत्यु मरता है।"
"Every soul that comes here lives its full life and dies its own natural death." — Sachin Jain, TrusteeEvery year on Bakrid (Eid al-Adha), thousands of goats are bought and sacrificed across India. Our volunteers travel to the largest animal markets in Delhi and U.P. — sometimes disguising themselves to buy goats at fair prices — to rescue as many lives as possible.
These goats are then brought to our Bakrashala, where they receive lifelong care. They never leave — they live here peacefully until they die of old age. This is the highest form of Abhaydan (gift of safety) in Jain philosophy.
Jain community members in Baghpat purchase land in Aminagar Saray and commit to building India's first dedicated Bakrashala, inspired by Lord Mahavir's teachings of Ahimsa and non-violence.
The first 50 goats arrive. Morning walks at 9 AM, evening walks at 6 PM, marble water troughs, ceiling fans and sprinklers — every comfort is provided from day one. Staff from neighbouring villages are hired.
Major national media including The Print, India Today, and BusinessToday cover the Bakrashala. The heartwarming story of Jain volunteers disguising themselves to buy goats captures the nation's attention.
The iconic Pakshi Ghar (bird tower) is completed, housing 6,000–8,000 birds. A full veterinary hospital is established. The fish liberation program begins, saving 40–50k fish from market sellers every month.
Jeev Daya Sansthan shelters 550+ goats, 8,000+ birds, and saves 40–50k fish every month. A community united across all faiths — Hindu, Jain, and Muslim — works together in service of all life.
Every action at Jeev Daya Sansthan is guided by the sacred Jain principle of Ahimsa. We believe no living being should ever suffer due to human desire or tradition.
Abhaydan — freedom from fear — is the highest donation in Jain philosophy. Every rupee donated here becomes a shield that protects an innocent, defenceless life.
Our caretakers from all backgrounds work 12-hour days with full devotion. No salary is enough to measure their love — this is pure Seva, unconditional service to all life.
"Live and Let Live" is not just our motto. It is our daily practice, our discipline, and our faith. Every animal here is allowed to live and die with complete dignity.
President & General Secretary

From goats to birds to fish — we protect all life with equal love
Core Mission
Every year before Bakrid, our volunteers travel to markets in Delhi's Jama Masjid, Ghazipur, Seelimpur, Bulandshahr, and across western U.P. — buying goats at above-market prices to save them from sacrifice.
At our 5,000 sq. yard Bakrashala, goats receive morning face-wash with alum gargle, structured walks at 9 AM and 6 PM, fresh fodder in iron bowls, clean marble water troughs, and cooling sprinklers in summer.
Avian Sanctuary
Our landmark 45-storey Pakshi Ghar (bird tower) is one of the most unique structures in India. Between 6,000 and 8,000 pigeons and birds make this tower their home at any given time — finding food, shelter, and complete safety.
Aquatic Life Rescue
Our team purchases fish directly from market sellers — not to consume, but to release them back into rivers, ponds, and natural water bodies. This sacred act of Jal Jeevan Seva saves 40–50k fish every single month.
This extends the principle of Ahimsa to the aquatic world — recognising that all life, including the smallest fish, is equally sacred and deserves protection.
Manav Seva
Our compassion extends beyond animals. We care for 50+ mentally challenged individuals — lovingly called Prabhu Ji — providing them a safe home, nourishing meals, medicines, and meaningful daily activities.
Every Prabhu Ji receives dignified care: a warm place to stay, three wholesome meals a day, complete medical support, and joyful activities that bring purpose and happiness to their lives.
Your generosity saves real lives. Every rupee gives an innocent soul the gift of life.
